A Message from Our CEO: Celebrating 15 Years of Growth, Impact, and Excellence

Dear friends, colleagues, and partners,

As I sit down to write this letter to mark Gravitas’ 15th anniversary, I am struck with a sense of pride and gratitude. When Alex, Daniel and I opened our first offices in London, Leeds and Hong Kong back in 2010 we had a vision to build a business that took recruitment seriously, while building a fun and rewarding culture for our staff. Our expectations for the future were high, believing that together we would achieve great things, and so it’s incredibly rewarding to see our dreams become reality.

From those three initial locations we have grown into a global business with eight offices in six countries. But numbers only tell part of the story. What really matters is the impact we have had: helping over 19,000 professionals to find their next role and achieve their ambitions, while delivering specialist workforces for more than 9,000 clients to help their businesses thrive and grow.

We have never wavered. We have stayed true to our specialisms in Technology, Insurance and Banking, building deep expertise and lasting relationships within these communities. And it’s paid off – nearly 50 industry awards have recognised our commitment to service excellence, training and diversity. I am particularly proud of our three consecutive Princess Royal Awards for training excellence (led by our amazing inhouse learning & development team) and our recent win as APSCo’s Recruitment Company of the Year.

Although nice to have, for me success isn’t measured in awards or office locations. It’s measured in the strength of our relationships, the development of our people, and the positive impact we make in our specialist communities. Every placement we make, every client relationship we build and every team member who grows with us is part of what makes Gravitas special.

Looking forward, I am more excited than ever. For the last two years I’ve been working to ensure our technical advancement, utilising AI, automation and innovation to streamline our processes further, and to deliver even faster, quality results for our candidates and clients – after all we are a service industry. Anyone that knows me personally knows I have a passion for tech and its ethical use in making businesses work smarter. I’m proud of how our business continues to lead the way through tech advancement.  

None of this would be possible without our amazing team, loyal clients and talented candidates. As we celebrate this milestone, I want to say huge thanks to everyone who has been part of our journey.
